Process:
- From a provided clear photo in good lighting, the framing is chosen. (see Best Pet Photo Practices)
- A ‘thumbnail’ watercolor study gives me a warmup into the painting and helps me establish the palette.
- We agree on the photo & framing & colors before I start the actual painting.
- I make a digital tracing which will be the base of the painting.
- The portrait is painted, watercolor + watercolor pencil. I show you the result, perhaps finesse a few details, then ship it your way.
