Michelle Davis conceived of this while her children were very young, at a time when her own appreciation of the day’s palette of the sky happened in small snippets and self-captured photos here and there that nonetheless enthralled her, as the sky and natural world as a whole will always do.
The illustrations were done in Adobe Photoshop, the fox characters worked up after studying numerous photo references, and the skies from her own observations and self-captured photos.

Michelle formerly worked as both production artist and production manager in the field of medical illustration and animation, balancing broad project timelines and needs, software techniques, a strategic use of visual aesthetics, and the smallest of anatomical details.
She now focuses on the illustration and art making around the scientific and natural worlds and its beauty and processes.
Michelle lives in the greater Twin Cities area of Minnesota with her husband, 2 cats, and 2 school age children.
