Michelle conceived of this while her children were very young, at a time when her own appreciation of the day’s palette of the sky happened in small snippets and self-captured photos here and there that nonetheless enthralled her, as the sky and natural world as a whole will always do.
The illustrations were done in Adobe Photoshop, the fox characters worked up after studying photo references, and the skies from her own observations and self-captured photos.
